  • Designing the product or designing for repeat behaviour

The treadmill is a great example of making this point. Is your value proposition designed to sell the product (treadmills for home use) or designed to solve the underlying problem and create repeated use of your product?

The problem a treadmill solves is not access to running (you can do that literally everywhere); it’s the underlying motivation of actually going for a run. If you want customers to become repeat customers (and real fans who refer your product), design accordingly.

  • The Automotive Business Model Battle

Interesting article (a long read) on why electric is winning the drivetrain technology war. Lessons include:

    • The business model is the unit of analysis, NOT the technology
    • The customer job is not the underlying technology
    • First to scale (tipping the customer adoption and supplier learning curves) is the success measure

  • Test post note

Just testing a simple note, a few lines of text. Don’t read this, this is for testing purposes and will be removed once I’ve iterated this design to the basic level that I’m ok with.

    Pre-seedBet on the team
    SeedBet on the product
    Series ABet on the traction
    Series BBet on the revenue
Series CBet on the unit economics
Investor’s main bet per funding round
